Digitizing Peggy Guggenheim’s Scrapbooks

Yellow and Black Composition, 1953
26 August 2014

Recently, members of the Guggenheim Museum’s Library and Archives and Department of Photographic Services worked together to digitize select scrapbooks created by Peggy Guggenheim.

Peggy Guggenheim was the niece of Guggenheim Museum founder Solomon R. Guggenheim and William Scott’s Yellow and Black Composition, 1953 is part of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum collection. Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum Archives are in the process of digitising files on artists themselves with some material relating to William Scott himself.

You can read about it the project to digitise the scrapbooks here.
